A huge amount of black money is stored in foreign banks , so to bring back this huge amount baba ramdev who is a very high profile yogacharya has taken a challenge. He has decided to fast from 4 June 2011 to force the UPA government to take some actions against it. For this battle , the historic ramlila maidan in delhi is the battleground.

Less than 48 hrs are left for this mission by Baba Ramdev against corruption to start. A lot of preparations are taking place in ramlila maidan to host the supporters. It has been estimated that over 2 lakh supporters will be arriving to participate and support baba in fasting in the satyagraha . but the total cost spent on this huge build up is still unknown.

“baba ramdev ka maha yog shivir” was written on a big banner outside the maidan. Nothing about he battle is mentioned on the banner.

It’s a huge 2.5 lakh sq. meter tent   and a man standing at the entrance is saying “ yahan baba ramdev ka shivir lagne wala hai” ( a shivir will be held here by baba ramdev) .

Someone asked him regarding satyagraha and he replied “ who bhi hai lekin baba ramdev free yoga sikhayenge is baar” ( yes something is there like that but free yoga lessons by baba ramdev this time) .

The tent was huge and waterproof  and after walking in it felt as if this battle is going to be bigger than the war against corruption by Anna Hazare .But in such a hot and humid climate of delhi why this rainproof tent when kerala has just had its monsoon.

A man who was ordering a worker to put the green carpet inside the tent , was asked about the reason behind this rainproof tent and he replied “ dilli ka mausam kab badal jaye kuch pata nhi” ( you never know about Delhi’s weather) .

The same man was asked wasn’t the cost of this waterproof tent more than that of a simpler tent? he said “ a lot more” .

But then who will be bearing the amount of this huge preparation? “ Baba Ramdev’s supporters” replied another supervisor .

A team of over 500 workers and many volunteers are responsible for the venue to get ready and are continuously working. A lot of ceiling fan have been put in the tent. Already hundreds of pedestal fans have been fixed and some more will be fixed tomorrow. Air and water coolers have also been booked.

Many tube-lights and CFL’s have been put inside and outside the venue and an electrician who was testing them said that everything will be installed soon.

Jaideep arya is the speaker for baba ramdev and said that over 600 temporary toilets will be placed inside the venue.

So as to provide the supporters with live and clear picture of baba ramdev on the stage and people sitting with him , big LCD screens were put at different corners.

This event is remarkably big in comparison to Anna Hazare’s protest at Jantar Mantar.

For a nice business many food vendors put their stalls outside the maidan. During hazare’s fast at Jantar Mantar, a water bottle was sold for 30 rs. And seeing a huge amount of people for baba ramdev’s protest to get back the black money by forcing the UPA government in the maidan , I wondered of what these vendors are going to earn.

Police has been positioned in advance outside the venue.

A shikanji wala “Mr. Deependra Gupta” said “sir ho jata hai sab manage” ( everything gets managed sir) when was asked if he wasn’t stopped by the police from being at the venue for fast.
