Today is 12th August 2011 and we all are happy in planning our 65th Independence Day celebration. May God bless us so that India continues to move ahead for years to come. However, I am taking this opportunity to take you back to our memory lane and tell you a real story of what had happened between 15th and 18th August 1945. I request all of you to kindly take out a little time from your respective busy schedule and try to leave these four days with a feeling of what exactly had happened 66 years ago.
Today I am also in a major dilemma whether to start translating the portion of the book written in Bengali “ Ami Netaji ke Dekhechi” – By Narayan Sanyal (I have seen Netaji) in English, so that many of the Non Bengali readers can also know that had happened during 1942 -1945 in East Asian Region (towards our independent movement).
I know that translating a book without the permission of the publisher is illegal but I could not resist myself in translating it. I don’t have any commercial intension, but my action is towards my homage to a great person whom I admire the most. I personally dedicate the translation back to Mr.Sanyal.

The below mentioned portion is taken from the diary of one of Netaji’s associate, Mr. S. A. Ayer, in the very last phase of the independent struggle. I have also enclosed certain News Paper cuttings and photographs to add on from my side. As the portion is written in the form of a diary, it sometimes become difficult to translate as it is and also keeps the flow going. However, the fact remains….
